With the successful convening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, there has been an upsurge of studying and implementing the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. On December 9, at the call of the Municipal Bureau of justice and the municipal lawyers' Association, the city's lawyers, Party members and law firm directors gathered in Longao building to hold a "mobilization meeting to study and implement the spirit of the 18th National Congress". Chenxinjiang, a lawyer and Party member of our firm, and huxiaohua, a partner, attended the meeting.

According to the requirements of the Central Committee and the actual work of lawyers in the city, the meeting put forward the following implementation opinions on the study, publicity and implementation of the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in the city's lawyer industry:

First, we must always unswervingly adhere to the lofty mission of legal workers with Chinese characteristics. We should educate and guide lawyers throughout the city to unswervingly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adhere to and improve the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, adhere to the party's leadership over lawyers' work, always adhere to the correct direction of lawyers' work, and unswervingly be a socialist legal worker with Chinese characteristics.

Second, we should more consciously serve economic and social development. We should always plan, promote and develop lawyers' work in the overall situation of the city's economic and social development, guide lawyers to focus on comprehensively deepening the reform of the economic system and accelerating the transformation of the mode of economic development, actively innovate the content and form of services, actively carry out the activity of "enterprise legal physical examination", and strive to provide more high-quality and efficient legal services for "accelerating scientific development and building a beautiful spring city".

Third, we should more consciously safeguard social harmony and stability. We should firmly establish political awareness, overall situation awareness and responsibility awareness, comprehensively use mediation, litigation, arbitration, consultation and other means in practice activities, and strive to achieve the organic unity of political, legal and social effects. We should prudently represent major sensitive group cases, adhere to the mechanism for safeguarding the rights and interests of the masses and the mechanism for resolving contradictions and disputes under the leadership of the Party committee, and earnestly safeguard social harmony and stability.

Fourth, we should more consciously safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Chinese lawyers are the lawyers of the people. We should guide lawyers to take safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people as the fundamental starting point and foothold of their work, give full play to the professional characteristics and advantages of lawyers' work, actively handle legal aid cases, carry out social public welfare activities, and promote the extension and inclination of legal services to the field of people's livelihood.

Fifth, we should establish and improve a long-term mechanism for the development of the lawyer industry. We should vigorously strengthen ideological and political construction, deeply study and master the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics among all lawyers, deeply study and comprehensively grasp the scientific connotation, spiritual essence and basic requirements of the scientificoutlookondevelopment, and ensure that all lawyers resolutely maintain a high degree of consistency with the Party Central Committee in ideology, politics and action. We should comprehensively strengthen party building among lawyers, improve grass-roots party organizations, improve party systems, explore new ways and means of Party building in the legal service industry, and enhance the charisma, influence and combat effectiveness of Party organizations and Party members. We should vigorously strengthen the construction of lawyers, ensure the purity and combat effectiveness of lawyers, and build a contingent of high-quality socialist legal workers with Chinese characteristics.
