"We interviewed the police on duty and the prison doctors involved in the rescue at the detention center that night, and copied and sealed the audio and video recordings of the prison area at the time of the incident. So far, the investigation team has not found any acts such as extorting confessions by torture by the police handling cases, maltreating detainees in the supervision place, and fighting among detainees in the supervision place." His family members said they had found a large amount of congestion in the mouth and nose of the deceased, and asked for a full video of the process of forensic autopsy.

Suspect died of cardiac arrest

According to the joint report of Wuyi County procuratorate and the County Public Security Bureau on the 4th, heshebiao, male, born on September 2, 1979, from shangsibao village, Wangzhai Town, Wuyi County, was arrested on December 22 last year on suspicion of theft. He was arrested on January 28 this year and is in the investigation stage. At 0:42 on February 17, the prison room of Wuyi County Detention Center reported that suspect heshebiao had difficulty breathing. The police on duty and prison doctors of the detention center immediately organized on-site rescue. At about 1:10, an ambulance took him to Wuyi No. 1 people's Hospital for rescue. At 1:50, the patient died after hospital rescue. The hospital initially diagnosed heshebiao as cardiac arrest.

Family members said the body had congestion in the mouth and nose

Ms. Qiu, heshebiao's mother, said that at about 3 a.m. on February 17, she received a call from Wang Zhai police station, saying that heshebiao was being rescued in the hospital. When the family members rushed to the emergency room of Wuyi County People's Hospital, heshebiao's body became cold.

Heshebiao's brother hejunbiao found that there were many blood stains on the pillow his brother was lying in the hospital. He said that the family waited until about 14 o'clock that day and no one came forward to explain the cause of death. The next day, at the funeral home, he found that heshebiao had a lot of congestion in his mouth and nose.

Family members asked for autopsy video

Wucuijie, deputy political commissar of Wuyi County Public Security Bureau, said in an interview on the 3rd that the police originally planned to conduct an autopsy on heshebiao's body, but the family members of the deceased requested that the whole process of forensic autopsy of the body by Jinhua procuratorate be videotaped. The procuratorate believed that the video recording by the family members was not in line with the legal provisions. For this reason, the family did not agree to an autopsy. At present, heshebiao's body is frozen in Wuyi County funeral home.

Wucuijie said that by looking through the surveillance video, it was not found that the deceased had been abused by the detainees in the same cell before his death, nor did it find the phenomenon of corporal punishment by the police. It may be that he died of sudden cardiac arrest while sleeping.

As for the congestion in the mouth and nose of the deceased, wucuijie explained that it may be the blood in the lungs of the deceased when the family members turned over the body.

The Wuyi County procuratorate and the County Public Security Bureau jointly announced on the 4th that the two levels of procuratorial organs in Jinhua City and Wuyi County have quickly intervened in the investigation after the incident, and the specific cause of death will be determined after the autopsy.
