On april12,2013, we successfully signed a trademark agency contract with Jinan Mintai Coal Mine Co., Ltd., which is our first trademark agency business since lawyers and law firms engaged in trademark agency business.

With the in-depth implementation of the national intellectual property strategy, the social demand for trademark agency legal services is growing, and the professional requirements for trademark agency legal services are also increasing. In order to implement the deployment of the national intellectual property strategy on studying the relevant systems for lawyers to represent intellectual property legal affairs, and give full play to the role of lawyers in the implementation of the intellectual property strategy, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of justice made joint efforts, and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce revised the measures for the administration of trademark agency in july2010, The restrictive provisions on law firms engaging in trademark agency business have been canceled, and it is clear that law firms are one of the trademark legal service subjects. In order to further refine the relevant provisions of the measures for the administration of trademark agency, standardize the practice of law firms and their lawyers engaged in trademark agency, and maintain the legal service order of trademark agency, on November 6, 2012, the Ministry of justice and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce jointly issued the measures for the administration of trademark agency business of law firms (hereinafter referred to as the measures), which will be formally implemented from January 1, 2013.

As of april2,2013, a total of 7846 law firms had met the filing requirements upon the review of the trademark office. The headquarters and Zibo Branch of the Institute have both met the filing requirements after application, and both have the qualification of trademark agency. This has not only expanded the business scope of the Institute, but also led to more diversified business development of the Institute.
